Biography

Professional Background

Cristos is an international attorney educated and trained in Mexico, USA, Spain, and Germany. He is a practitioner in criminal law and cyberspace regulation with +20 years of experience advising and consulting in the fields of cybercrime & electronic evidence, cybersecurity, data privacy and artificial intelligence.

He holds six internationally recognized certifications in his area of practice, and he is the author of four books and many co-authored articles and publications in said fields. He has served as external consultant to international organizations, think-tanks and industry and government funded projects dealing with cybercrime, organized crime, artificial intelligence, cross-border data sharing, privacy and safeguards.

He has worked with EL PACCTO 2.0, UNODC Global Programme on Cybercrime, Council of Europe C-PROC (GLACY+ & CyberSouth), International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

He is an adjunct professor of law at the Duale Hochschule Baden Wuerttemberg State Cooperative University (DHBW) in Mannheim and Stuttgart, Germany. He holds a PhD in Law (Summa Cum Laude) from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Arizona, and a law degree from Universidad Del Valle de Mexico.
